WandaVision is set to arrive on Disney+ in 2021, and now rumors suggest that Benedict Cumberbatch will make an appearance in the show as Doctor Strange. The Sorcerer Supreme will allegedly appear in the final episodes of WandaVision. This is just a rumor, however, when the show was announced at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con it was also revealed that the series will interlink with the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and that Scarlet Witch will feature in the Doctor Strange movie.
Another report suggested that Lord Nightmare will be the villain in WandaVision and Doctor Strange 2. This means that the series will set up the event of Doctor Strange 2. Doctor Strange 2 might start filming in 2020. Parts of the movie will be set in the 80s. Scott Derrickson returning to direct the sequel, with Benedict Cumberbatch, Rachel McAdams, and Wong reprising their roles.
WandaVision is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), taking place after Avengers: Endgame film. WandaVision is scheduled to be released in early 2021, and will consist of six episodes. Unlike Netflix shows, WandaVision six episodes will be released weekly rather than all at once.
