Venom 2: New BTS image tease serial killer Cletus Kasady origins.

New behind-the-scenes images from the set of Venom movie 2 has revealed that the sequel will explore Carnage’s origins. Tom Hardy posted — now-deleted – image on his Instagram teasing the place where serial killer Cletus Kasady grew up. The image posted by Hardy, who plays Eddie Brock /Venom in the movie, features a crest that reads “Home for Unwanted Children,” teasing the “St. Estes Home for Boys.” The orphanage Cletus Kasady grew up. The Orphanage is also where Spider-Man and Carnage had their first encounter. In addition, the actor also posted a BTS image with the film director, Andy Serkis.

Cletus Kasady was first teased in the first movie’s mid-credits scene. The killer was portrayed by Woody Harrelson. So far not much is known about the Venom sequel expect that Tom Hardy will return to reprise his role as Eddie Brock with Woody Harrelson as Cletus Kasady/Carnage. Venom movie 2 will be directed by Black Panther and Planet of the Apes actor, Andy Serkis with a script written by Kelly Marcel. The Marvel and Sony Pictures film is set to hit theaters in October 2020. The first Venom film was released in 2018. The movie earned over $850 million at the international box office.

Venom, or the Venom Symbiote, made his first appearance in 1988’s The Amazing Spider-Man #300. The comic book character was created by writer David Michelinie and artists Todd McFarlane and Mike Zeck. Venom made his first Live-action made appearance Spider-Man 3 and was portrayed by actor, Topher Grace. Venom was originally conceived as a supervillain, but like Deadpool, the character has since become more of an antihero.
