Capcom Release New Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Story Trailer.

Capcom began streaming on Tuesday a new gameplay trailer for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne giving us a first look at Tigrex and Glavenus in the new expansion for Monster Hunter: World. The game takes place in a new region known as Hoarfrost Reach. A cold, inhospitable region, covered in snow and ice with more powerful monsters, and challenging master rank quests

A flock of Legiana were spotted fleeing from the Ancient Forest. Sensing they were on the cusp of something unusual, the Research Commission decided to board the Third Fleet’s airship and crossed the sea in pursuit. What they found past the rough seas was a new landmass, locked beneath snow and ice.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne releases for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 6, 2019. It’ll arrive to PC via Steam in Winter 2019.

Commander

The man in charge of leading the Research Commission.

He was a part of a small group known as the First Fleet that made the maiden voyage to the New World. He commands with a calm and steady demeanor, but at times comes up with wild, unbelievable ideas. After the construction of Seliana, he hands the reigns over to the Field Team Leader while he keeps the peace in Astera. But no one gets more excited about new discoveries than him.

Field Team Leader

A young man who leads the hunters and handlers of the Research Commission.

He is the grandson of the Commander, and is the only person in the Research Commission to be born in the New World. He puts the safety of everyone in the Commission above all else, and is now in charge of protecting their new home, Seliana.

The Handler

An expert in info gathering and analysis, handlers move in unison with hunters and keep track of every detail of the investigation.

While out investigating with her partner in the Ancient Forest, they spotted a flock of Legiana flying across the sea, setting off a brand-new investigation. As if drawn in by the “song” that she heard, she and her partner head off to a new land together.

The Tracker

The First Fleet’s expert Handler, and a mentor to the hunter’s Handler.

She’s an expert in natural sciences and can handle herself well while out on expeditions. Her curiosity and desire to understand everything leads her to go on extended expeditions from which she rarely returns to base. Upon hearing news of a newly discovered landmass, she immediately decides to make the trek. What she hopes to find, she keeps close to her…

Third Fleet Master

The leader of the Third Fleet, and a genius in her own right, although some think of her as an eccentric.

She offers to use the Third Fleet’s airship to go after the fleeing Legiana, without any knowledge of what lies in wait for them. But it was her desire to seek the unknown that leads the Commission to an incredible discovery.

Second Fleet Master

The leader of the industrious Second Fleet.

He runs the workshops, and protects the lives of the hunters with his quick thinking and never-ending commitment. Fearing that running a workshop in cold climate would result in disaster, he decides to make the voyage to Seliana, entrusting the Astera workshops to a young protégé. His only real worry is if his back will act up in the cold or not.

Provisions Manager

No other member of the Commission comes close to her management skill, especially when it comes to her role of overseeing the flow of all base provisions at the Resource Center.

Not known to hold attachments, she was quick to leave Astera as soon as she heard word of the newly discovered Hinterlands. She now manages the Resource Center in Seliana.

Analytics Director

Well-studied in a variety of different fields, the Analytics Director is a genius scholar who is sometimes also known to be a bit of an oddball.

He oversees every facet of research. Because of his research responsibilities, as well as his vital role as liaison with the Guild, he was deemed indispensable for management within Astera, where he somewhat grudgingly stays behind to manage the Resource Center.

Tech Chief

The Tech Chief is a technician from the First Fleet, and one of the main architects responsible for building Astera from the ground up.

A top-class tech expert known to dabble with bizarre inventions. Considered essential to the establishment of the new base, he accepted his new assignment on the pretense that it would keep him busy. His focus, however, seems to be on secretly planning something exciting for the new base.

Grammeowster Chef

Formerly of the First Fleet, the Grammeowster Chef was also once the Meowscular Chef’s culinary mentor.

Though she had been taking a break from Commission work for a while, she returns to manage the Canteen in Seliana. Her specialty is dishing out piping-hot gratin dishes and thick, scrumptious stews. Her warm spirit and delicious food warm the hearts and minds of all who eat at her Canteen.

Velkhana

An elder dragon with the power to freeze all in its path.

It is extremely agile, especially on the ground, moving with explosive bursts of speed.

Banbaro

A monster with two giant horns, like a running brick wall.
It charges at threats while digging its massive horns in the ground, sometimes picking up entire trees along the way.

Shrieking Legiana

A Legiana variant shrouded in white frost.

New Tool: The Clutch Claw

The clutch claw is an extension of the slinger, allowing you to grapple onto monsters using a sharp, claw-shaped hook. When clinging onto a monster, new maneuvers become available, such as controlling the monster’s movement.

Grapple onto a monster with the claw, and while clinging you can use special attacks with your weapon, or even perform a new”flinch shot” that sends monsters reeling forward!

New Combos and Mechanics for Every Weapon Type

You can now use the slinger while your weapon is unsheathed, regardless of the weapon type. This allows for a broader range of moves for every weapon.

A New Mode of Transport: Raider Ride!

Raider Ride lets you use small monster tailraiders as a mode of transportation. Whistle to call a tailraider, and then get ready to ride.

Pin your destination on the wildlife map and you’ll be taken there automatically. If you don’t pin a destination, your raider ride will try to find tracks, so you can track a target while prepping for a hunt.

While on a raider ride, you can gather, use items and your slinger, open your wildlife map, as well as other specific actions.
You cannot control the monster directly.
