Netflix Developing A Hellboy TV Show?


Last month HellBoy creator ,Mike Mignola, shot down rumors that Netflix was planning a TV show reboot based on the character while answering a fan on Twitter. Now a source close to the project allegedly told We Got This Covered reporting that Netflix a developing a Hellboy tv series. The source tells WGTC that “Netflix wants the show to be bloody and mature”.

Netflix was reportedly looking to develop a HellBoy television series after the streaming service signed a first-look deal with Dark Horse Entertainment to develop new television shows and films based on Dark Horse comic book properties.

Created by Mike Mignola, the fictional character made his first comic-book 
debut as a prototype in Dime Press #4 (March 1993), before making his first appearance in Next Men #21 (December 1993). He was portrayed by Ron Perlman in 2004’s Hellboy movie and Hellboy II: The Golden Army, and by David Harbour in 2019’s Hellboy reboot.

The source did not reveal the format of the project.
