We take a look at the anime studio, staff, and cast of the upcoming Jujutsu Kaisen television anime series.

Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the most anticipated television anime series of 2020, and today we will have an in-depth look at the production studio, staff, and main voice cast of the upcoming anime.


The anime adaptation was first announced in the 52nd issue of Weekly Shōnen Jump in November 2019. The series’ main cast members were introduced at a Panel at Jump Festa 2020 on December 22, 2019. The manga author Gege Akutami also appeared on the panel. The series first official trailer began streaming on the Jujutsu Kaisen anime website in May. The promotional video features scenes adapted from the first chapters of the manga.


TOHO is producing the anime series. MAPPA studio animated show with Sunghoo Park serving as the director. Hiroshi Seko is adapting the series scripts based on Akutami Gege’s manga series. Tadashi Hiramatsu is the character designer for the animation.

Sunghoo Park worked has a key animation, assistant episode director and animation director in many anime series including; Aikatsu!, Angolmois: Record of Mongol Invasion, Banana Fish, Garo the Animation, Ghost in the Shell: Arise, Guilty Crown, InuYasha: The Final Act, Iron Man, and Marvel Future Avengers just to name a few. He’s also the director of The God Of High School anime series.

Hiroshi Seko is best known for creating the story for the manga Attack on Titan: Lost Girls. Seko writing credits include Attack on Titan, Kill la Kill, Seraph of the End, Vinland Saga, and Mob Psycho 100. He also wrote the screenplay for DARLING in the FRANXX and Banana Fish.

Tadashi Hiramatsu has contributed to many anime series and movies as an animator, animation director, and character designer. Hiramatsu is best known for his work in Akira, Angel Beats!, Eureka Seven, Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone anime movie trilogy, and Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence anime film. His most recent work includes FLCL and Yuri!!! on Ice.


The Panel at Jump Festa 2020 revealed that Yuji Itadori will be voiced by Junya Inokig, Megumi Fushiguro by Yuma Uchida, Nobara Kugisaki by Asami Seto, Satoru Gojo by Yuichi Nakamura, and Sukuna Sukuna by Junichi Suwabe.

Junya Inokig is a 31-year-old Japanese voice actor who has voiced around 28 characters in his career so far. he’s known for voicing Pannacotta Fugo in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind (2018), and Takeru Takaishi in Digimon Adventure tri. (2015). He recently voiced Cosmo Imai in Netflix’s Kengan Ashura (2019). He’s the current of voice actor for LILPILIN, the Chief of the orcs in Sword Art Online: Alicization – War of Underworld.

Yuuma Uchida is a Japanese voice actor best known for voicing Kyo Soma in Fruits Basket (2019), Ginshi Shirazu in Tokyo Ghoul:re (2018), and Crystal Exarch in Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers (2019). The 28-year-old actor has voiced over 46 characters. he’s the voice of Yosuga in Olympia Soiree video game (2020).

Asami Seto is a 27-year-old Japanese voice actress who has voiced around 70 characters. Seto is best known for voicing Raphtalia in The Rising of the Shield Hero (2019), and Mai Sakurajima in Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl (2019). She’s current voice cast for young Geordo Stuart in My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! (2020), and CZ Delta and Raphtalia in Isekai Quartet 2.

Yuichi Nakamura is a Japanese voice actor who has voice over 259 characters in the course of his career. The 40-year-old also voiced Hawk in My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising and Mumen Rider in One-Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows video game.

Junichi Suwabe is a 48-year-old Japanese voice actor known for voicing Archer in Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel II. lost butterfly (2019), Shota Aizawa in My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising, and Yami Sukehiro in Black Clover: Quartet Knights. Suwabe has voiced around 284 characters throughout his career.


Jujutsu Kaisen’s anime opening theme song is “KAIKAIKITAN.” The song will be performed by singer, EVE. The ending theme “LOST IN PARADISE” will be a duo between ALI and AKLO. Hiroaki Tsutsumi, Yoshimasa Terui, and Arisa Okehazama will compose the series music.

Eve, also known as Keitora or Kurowa, is an utaite who first started releasing covers of popular Japanese artists in April 2009 at the age of 13. His first cover as “Eve”, “TRAGIC BOY” was uploaded in October 2009. Eve has covered songs by the band Galileo Galilei and RADWIMPS. He’s one of the lead singers for the Japanese indie band einie, alongside Natsushiro Takaaki. Eve also composes songs and writes lyrics for the band. His first album titled “Smile” is currently available.

He was born in Tokyo from a Japanese mother and a Mexican father. AKLO lived his youth between Mexico and Tokyo. He released his first album BEYOND MADNESS in 2005. His second album “UNNAMABLE,” was released in July 2006. AKLO has amassed a following among both fans of the Cthulhu Mythos and aficionados of dark ambient music. The rapper has lived and worked between Osaka, Oita, and New York. His album The Arrival released in 2014, won best hip hop/ rap album for iTunes.

Ali Project is a Japanese band consisting of Arika Takarano and Mikiya Katakura. Takarano is the singer and lyricist of the band and Katakura composes and arranges all music. The band his known for having their songs featured in several anime sequences, such as Rozen Maiden, .hack//Roots, Linebarrels of Iron, Code Geass, Phantom -Requiem for the Phantom-, Fate/Extra, Shigofumi, Katanagatari and Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry. Katakura has also composed soundtracks to several anime series, including Kaibutsu Oujo and Avenger.


Akutami Gege debuted Jujutsu Kaisen manga series in Weekly Shōnen Jump on March 5, 2018. Viz Media published the first three chapters for its “Jump Start” initiative and will publish the series in print starting in December 2019. Shueisha began to publish the series in English on the app and website Manga Plus in January 2019. A light novel entitled Jujutsu Kaisen: Soaring Summer and Returning Autumn (Jujutsu Kaisen Iku natsu to kaeru aki), written by Ballad Kitaguni, was published under the Jump J-Books imprint on May 1, 2019. A second light novel entitled Jujutsu Kaisen: The Path of Roses at Dawn ( Jujutsu Kaisen Yoake no Ibara Michi), was released on January 4, 2020.


For some strange reason, Yuji Itadori, despite his insane athleticism would rather just hang out with the Occult Club. However, her soon finds out that the occult is as real as it gets when his fellow club members are attacked! Meanwhile, the mysterious Megumi Fushiguro is tracking down a special-grade cursed object, and his search leads him to Itadori..


The television anime series is scheduled for release in October 2020. It will air on Fridays in Japan at 25:25 (effectively, Saturdays at 1:25 a.m.) on the “Super Animeism” block on MBS, TBS, and their affiliates. It seems like the series production isn’t affected by the Coronavirus pandemic, like most of the studio that force to delay most series due this year. Jujutsu Kaisen anime release date remains the same since announced this year.
