It was announced this year that WWE Superstar Sasha Banks will join the cast of THE MANDALORIAN season 2. furthermore, reports suggested that the pro-wrestler will portray Sabine Wren in the Disney+ series. Now the series’ newly released trailer has given us a first look at Banks in the Star Wars prequel series.
LucasFilm and Disney have yet to reveal Bank’s role, but the trailer features a glimpse of her character wearing a hood as she disappears in a crowd while the narration says “The songs of eons past tell of battles between Mandalore The Great and an army of sorcerers called Jedi”. This could hint at the fact that Banks will portray a Jedi in the series.
Early this year there were reports that Wren, played by Bank, will be accompanying Ahsoka Tano, who will allegedly be portrayed by Rosario Dawson. According to the new trailer, the show’s second season will focus around The Mandalorian returning “The Child” to its own kind. The narrator suggests that it will best he deliver the baby to the rebel Jedis.
Sabine Wren was a Mandalorian warrior, explosives expert, and graffiti artist. She’s one of the first rebels against the Empire and part of the Ghost crew. Sabine made her first appearance in Star Wars Rebel 3D animated series.
