Season 2 of Star Wars: The Mandalorian will arrive in fall 2020. The announced was made by Jon Favreau after season 1 finale on Disney+. Favreau shared the news on Twitter with a concept maquette for a brand new character that will appear in the second season of the Star Wars series.
Jon Favreau is the show’s executive producer with Taika Waititi, Dave Filoni, and Bryce Dallas Howard serving as producers of the show among others. The 8-episode TV show premiered when Disney+ streaming service launched on November 12.
The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal as the Mandalorian, Gina Carano as Cara Dune, Nick Nolte in an undisclosed role, Giancarlo Esposito in an undisclosed role, Carl Weathers as Greef Carga, Emily Swallow in an undisclosed role, Omid Abtahi as Dr. Pershing, Werner Herzog in an undisclosed role, Taika Waititi as the voice of IG-11, Bill Burr in an undisclosed role, Mark Boone Junior in an undisclosed role and Ming-Na Wen in an undisclosed role.
After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. “The Mandalorian” is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.
