We finally have our first look at Beyonce in The Lion King remake. Disney unveiled on Monday an extended TV spot for the upcoming movie featuring Nala, voiced by Beyonce Knowles, in the iconic “Come Home” scene in the animated feature film.
The CGI animated film directed by Jon Favreau stars Donald Glover as Simba, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as Nala, James Earl Jones as Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa and Billy Eichner as Timon.
The original Lion King animated film was released in 1994. The animated film was directed by Roger Allers and Rob Minkoff, produced by Don Hahn, with a screenplay by Irene Mecchi, Jonathan Roberts, and Linda Woolverton. The film original songs were written by Elton John and lyricist Tim Rice, and original scores were written by Hans Zimmer. The Lion King earned $968.5 million on the Box office with a budget of $45 million.
