Amazon Studios and animation studio Titmouse have released a featurette from the team of The Legend of Vox Machina animated series, the Kickstarter-funded animated fantasy series based on Critical Role’s role-playing game series storylines. The featurette shows the artists at Titmouse, led by Art Director Arthur Loftis and Supervising Director Sung Jin Ahn details the work behind the series scenery and maps. They also explain what to expect and they turned role-playing game series into a REAL VISUAL PLACES with layouts and beauty and grit and tone!


The Legend of Vox Machina an animated series writing team consist of Brandon Auman (Star Wars Resistance, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), Ashly Burch (“Adventure Time”), Jennifer Muro (“Star Wars: Forces of Destiny,” “Justice League Action”), Marc Bernardin (“Castle Rock,” “Carnival Row”), Chris “Doc” Wyatt (“Star Wars Resistance,” Marvel’s “Ultimate Spider-Man”), Kevin Burke (“Star Wars Resistance,” “Marvel’s Rocket & Groot”), Emmy nominee for “Rocket & Groot”), Daniel Thomsen (“Westworld”), and Mae Catt (“Transformers: Cyberverse,” “Marvel Rising”).

Auman will also serve as the show’s executive producer alongside Chris Prynoski (Metalocalypse, Big Mouth). The Legend of Vox Machina will have 24-episode and will feature the voice of Laura Bailey, Taliesin Jaffe, Ashley Johnson, Liam O’Brien, Matthew Mercer, Marisha Ray, Sam Riegel and Travis Willingham.

Critical Role: The Legend of Vox Machina follows a group of second-rate adventurers on a quest to save the realm from terrifying monsters and dark magical forces. Throughout the first season, our characters will face undead giants, overthrow a sinister necromancer, and confront a powerful curse that has taken root inside their own group. Through it all, they learn how to function as a team, and discover they’re much more than that: they’re family.

The Legend of Vox Machina will debut on the streaming service in Fall 2020.
