New set photos from The Eternals have given us a first look at Kit Harington and Gemma Chan in the film. The upcoming Marvel Studios movie is current shooting scenes at Oxford University’s Museum of Natural History in the United Kingdom (UK). Gemma Chan is playing Sersi in the movie and Kit Harington is playing her love interest, Black Knight.
The Eternals casts include Angelina Jolie as Thena, Richard Madden as Ikaris: An Eternal fueled by cosmic energy, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari: An Eternal. She is the first deaf superhero in the MCU. Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Salma Hayek as Ajak: The leader of the Eternals, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Barry Keoghan as Druig, and Gemma Chan as Sersi.Chan previously portrayed Minn-Erva in the MCU film Captain Marvel. Kit Harington as Dane Whitman: A superhero who wields a sword. Additionally, Haaz Sleiman has been cast in an undisclosed role.
The Eternals will be set millions of years ago focusing on The Celestials and Deviants with a focus on Ikaris and Sersi. The film is directed by Chloé Zhao, written by Matthew and Ryan Firpo. It is the twenty-fifth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
Created by Jack Kirby, The Eternals and The Deviants made their first appearance in The Eternals #1 (July 1976). The Eternals and The Deviants are an offshoot of the evolutionary process that created sentient life on Earth instigated by the alien Celestials.
The Eternals is scheduled to be theatrically released on November 6, 2020.
