We Got This Covered reporting that Josh Gad and Nicholas Hoult are being eyed for the role of the Penguin for Matt Reeves THE BATMAN movie. A source tells WGTC that the X-Men: Dark Phoenix actor still of one the actor being consider for the role of young Bruce Wayne. But if the role goes to Robert Pattison then Hoult may be offered the role of Cobblepot instead.
Reeves’ THE BATMAN movie will feature around half-a-dozen villains with the Penguin, Enigma and Catwoman being one of the villains. The movie will follow a younger Batman/Bruce Wayne with a new actor in the role following Ben Affleck’s departure early this year. Warner Bros. is allegedly eyeing Robert Pattinson, Nicholas Hoult, Armie Hammer, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson to replace Affleck, with Pattison being the first choice.
The live-action movie adaptation of DC Comics’ Batman will allegedly start filming late 2019 or 2020, due to the scripts still being polished. The movie is says to be more comic accurate than any other Batman movie to date.
The Batman will be released in theaters on June 25, 2021.
