As promised MGM has released a teaser announcement for The Addams Family 2, the sequel to the 2019’s animated film. In addition, Bill Hader will voice Cyrus, the new character, and Javon “Wanna” Walton will replace Finn Wolfhard in the new voice actor for Pugsley. The animated film official Twitter account also unveiled a new poster.
The Addams Family 2 feature returning cast including Charlize Theron (Morticia), Oscar Isaac (Gomez), Chloë Grace Moretz (Wednesday), Nick Kroll (Fester), Bette Midler (Grandma) and Snoop Dogg (It).
The first animated film grossed $203 million on a $24 million budget. The film features the voices of Oscar Isaac, Charlize Theron, Chloë Grace Moretz, Finn Wolfhard, Nick Kroll, Snoop Dogg, Bette Midler, and Allison Janney. The animated film is an adaptation of Charles Addams’ The Addams Family comics.
The Addams Family originally appeared as an unrelated group of 150 single-panel cartoons, about half of which were originally published in The New Yorker between their debut in 1938 and Charles Addams’ death in 1988. The comic spawned various television series, animated series, and live-action movies.
The Addams Family 2 hits theaters Halloween 2021.
