The official website for the Strike Witches franchise has unveiled a new key visual for Dai-501 Tōgō Sentō Kōkū-dan Strike Witches: Road to Berlin (501st Joint Fighter Wing Strike Witches: Road to Berlin), the anime series third season. In addition, the Kadokawa anime official YouTube channel also began streaming a new teaser trailer. The series by David Production will begin broadcasting in October 2020.
David Production is animating and Kazuhiro Takamura is returning as the anime series director. In addition, Humikane Shimada and Projekt Kagonish are credited for the anime original work. Shimada is also the series original character designer with Takamura adapting Shimada’s character designs for animation. Striker Unit is handling the series composition, and Tatsuhiko Urata (Strike Witches and Strike Witches 2 scriptwriter) is the chief writer.
Fumikane Shimada created Strike Witches via a series of magazine illustration columns. The first anime series adaptation aired between July and September 2008. Before that, an OVA preview of the series aired on January 1, 2007. The show’s second season aired between July and September 2010. A film adaptation was released on March 17, 2012, and a three-part OVA series was released between September 2014 and May 2015.
