Star Wars: Rebels’ sequel reportedly in the works.

Back in August Lucasfilm Animation head, Dave Filoni revealed that more animated projects based on the Star Wars franchise are being developed. Now new reports suggest that Star Wars: Rebels animated series will be getting a sequel. According to the new report, Filoni will be involved with the project.

The new Star Wars animated series will be based on Jedi Ashoka Tano and Sabine Wren and will take place after the events of Star Wars: Rebels as they attempt to track down Ezra Bridger. The series will allegedly be coming sometime this year on Disney+.

Star Wars Rebels’ first season premiered on October 13 on Disney XD. The 3D CGI animated series second season premiered on June 20, 2015. The third season premiered on September 24, 2016, and the fourth and final season premiered on October 16, 2017. The series is set five years before A New Hope.
