Star Wars: A Mace Windu Backstory Series Could Be Coming To Disney+.

The series will feature a younger actor with Samuel L. Jackson playing the old version.

LucasFilm seems to have found another winning formula when it comes to the Star Wars franchise. With their animated series and The Mandalorian being a huge, the studio already announced that more projects are being developed including an Obi-Wan Kenobi series starring Ewan McGregor, Rogue One Series and The Bad Batch animated series.

Now  Daniel RPK reporting via his Patreon account that Lucasfilm is considering developing a prequel Star Wars centering around on a young Mace Windu. The Star Wars series will feature a new actor as young Windu with Samuel L. Jackson reprising his role as the adult version of the character. The studio still contemplating the idea and its not sure if they will move forward with the project.

So far Mace Windu origin story has only been told in the comic book series. It will be great to see how the Force-sensitive human rose to become a Jedi General in the Grand Army of the Republic and the greatest champion of the Jedi Order. The character is voiced by Terrence C. Carson in The Clone Wars animated series. Jackson reprise the role via a quick voice cameo in during the events of The Rise of Skywalker.
