Spider-Man: No Way Home‘s latest teaser has gaslight the rumors that the film will introduce a live-action Spider-Verse. The official Twitter account for Sony Pictures Argentina shared on Monday a new logo stinger for the movie in Spanish, including a glitching effect at the end like the one Sony used for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse animated film promo. The teaser was immediately takedown before Sony Pictures Brazil posted a very similar teaser in Portuguese.
Both teasers have a slightly different glitching effect, but that didn’t stop fans from speculating that Spider-Man: No Way Home will feature the multiverse Sinister Six are true. We already know Alfred Molina will reprise his role Doctor Octopus from Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man 2 and Jamie Foxx as Electro, a role he played in Andrew Garfield’s The Amazing Spider-Man. It wouldn’t really be a surprise if the shared teasers are referencing an encounter between Tom Holland, Maguire, and Garfield’s Peter Parker.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is set to be released in theaters on December 17, 2021.
Although Sony Pictures Argentina has deleted the tweet, I grabbed the video before it was removed. Please note the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse style glitch at the end. So I guess the rumors of #SpiderManNoWayHome and the multiverse Sinister Six are true. pic.twitter.com/p2n4YnR7BA— César Berardini (@cesarberardini) June 14, 2021
