We finally have our first look at Jim Carrey as Robotnik for Paramount Pictures’ “Sonic the Hedgehog” live-action hybrid movie adaptation. The image is allegedly a screenshot from the movie trailer which is slated to be released by the studio this Tuesday.
The CGI animated “Sonic the Hedgehog” live-action is slated for release on Nov. 15, 2019. The movie features Ben Schwartz (Duck Tales, Parks and Recreation) as the voice Sonic, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, and Jim Carrey. The movie will be directed by Jeff Fowler. Neal H. Moritz and Tim Miller (Deadpool) will be the film executive producing, along with Toby Ascher. Patrick Casey and Josh Miller will write the film scripts. Dmitri Johnson and Dan Jevons are co-producing the project.
Sonic the Hedgehog was first released by Sega for arcades in 1991. The game has since spawned several animated series and comic book tie-ins.
