SHIN ULTRAMAN Live-Action Film Delayed Indefinitely.

Shin Ultraman is currently scheduled for release in 2021 to commemorate the 55th Anniversary of the Ultraman franchise.

Studio Khara’s has announced that the SHIN ULTRAMAN live-action film will be delayed. The official website revealed that the film is being delayed due to the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. Shin Ultraman is currently scheduled for release in 2021 to commemorate the 55th Anniversary of the Ultraman franchise. The film will star Takumi Saitou in the titular role of Ultraman. Masami Nagasawa will be Ultraman’s partner in the movie. 

EVANGELION 3.0 + 1.0 director, Hideaki Anno, will collaborate with Shinji Higuchi for the new ULTRAMAN movie. Higuchi will direct the new film and Anno will produce and write the screenplay. Tsuburaya Productions, Toho Studios, and Studio Khara are also producing the Ultraman film.
