Marvel Studios allegedly planning to surprise fans with the first footage for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The filming was originally planned for February 2020 but was put on hold in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The film resumed shooting in August before completing in October. Now according to Grace Randolph and Daniel RPK, Marvel and Disney will possibly release the Shang-Chi trailer on Monday(Today) or sometime this week.

The film plot is still a kept secret, however, a leaked set of toys from the film revealed that The Mandarin will indeed be Shang-Chi’s father in the movie and not ‘Fu Manchu’. The leak features figures of Shang-Chi, Katy, Wenwu, Jiang Li, Death Dealer, Razor Fist, and the dragon, who was dubbed as “The Great Protector“. It also includes Fin Fang Foom who was rumor to appear in the movie since it was announced and the first look at Simu Liu’s Shang-Chi and Tony Leung’s The Mandarin suit in the Marvel Cinematic Movie. In the film “Shang-Chi must confront the past he thought he left behind when he is drawn into the web of the mysterious Ten Rings organization.”
Destin Creston is directing Marvel Studios’ first Asian lead superhero movie with Chinese-American writer Dave Callaham (Wonder Woman 1984, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2) set to pen the screenplay. The MCU movie stars Simu Liu as Shang-Chi alongside Tony Leung as The Mandarin. Other cast members include Nora Lum as Katy, Fala Chen as Jiang Li, Meng’er Zhang as Xialing, Florian Munteanu as Razor Fist, Ronny Chieng as Jon Jon, and Michelle Yeoh as Jiang Nan
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is scheduled to be released on September 3, 2021, as part of Phase Four of the MCU.
