Toei and Bandai Namco have just announced on Saturday that the new Sentai team, Mashin Sentai Kirameiger, will make their debut in the Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger and Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger crossover movie. Toei revealed the crossover movie first teaser visual with a tagline that reads, “New heroes also appear!”. In addition, it was also announced that the movie will arrive on February 8, which debunk rumors that the Sentai Kirameiger series will debut on January 3rd. This also means the show will replace Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger after the series ends its run in February.
The new Super Sentail team will be revealed in the January 2020 issue of Televi-Kun coming December 26. Takemoto Noboru is the director, and Koumura Junko is the screenwriter. Nakagawa Koutarou is in charge of the music composition and Fukuzawa Hirofumi is the action director. Hida Hiroshi is the series’ SFX director. Mashin Sentai Kirameiger is the 44th season of Super Sentai and will succeed in Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger. The Tokusatsu series will debut in 2020. It is also the first Super Sentai show in the Reiwa era in Japan.
Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger is the 42nd installment in the Super Sentai metaseries, following Uchu Sentai Kyuranger. This series is the first to feature two different teams of heroes and also the first Super Sentai TV series to not have an ending theme like many of TV Asahi’s other shows. Lupinranger VS Patranger was the last Super Sentai series to air entirely in the Heisei era. The series premiered on February 11, 2018, and ended on February 10, 2019. Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger is the 43rd installment in the Super Sentai franchise series. Ryusoulger premiered on March 17, 2019.
The Super Sentai series was created by manga artist Shotaro Ishinomori. The first Super Sentai Series titled “Himitsu Sentai Gorenger” aired in Japan from 1975 to 1977. The second series J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai was released in 1977.
