Ryan Reynolds has recently been the talk of the town amongst DC fans with rumors that he might reprise his role as Green lantern in Zack Snyder’s Justice League and being cast as Hawkman in Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Black Adam. Now the Deadpool actor has taken to Twitter to debunk the rumor in a hilarious tweet.

Ryan Reynolds’s Green Lantern movie was released on June 17, 2011. The film received negative reviews but Reynolds’ performance as Hal Jordan was praised by fans. The Green Lantern movie grossed $219 million against a production budget of $200 million. Warner Bros is currently developing a Green Lantern Corps movie and a Green Lantern television series for HBO Max.
The long-awaited Black Adam movie which will see Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in the titular role is set to hit theaters on 22 December 2021. Jaume Collet-Serra will direct the Black Adam movie and dam Sztykiel is writing the script. The film is produced by Johnson and Hiram Garcia of Seven Bucks Productions, along with Beau Flynn of the Flynn Picture Company.
Although we might not see him in Black Adam, the actor expressing his interest in appearing the Snyder Cut means there still hope he can make a cameo.
