Reports suggesting that Rosario Dawson has shot scenes as Ahsoka Tano for season 2 of The Mandalorian. According to Kessel Run Transmissions, Rosario Dawson filmed scenes as for The Mandalorian second season 2 weeks ago. Kessel says Dawson’s filming as Ahsoka Tano was for marketing purposes. He also noted that this could be the reason why we are yet to see the first footage for The Mandalorian season 2. The trailer was rumored to be released during the NBA playoffs last week, but guess fans will have to wait a little longer.
Slash Film first broke the new that Rosario Dawson will portray Ahsoka Tano in the Star Wars prequel series. So far Ahsoka has only been seen in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels animated series and as a voiceover cameo in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Ahsoka made her debut as the Padawan apprentice of Anakin Skywalker in the 2008’s animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars. she’s also the protagonist of the eponymous novel Star Wars: Ahsoka. She was created by George Lucas and Dave Filoni. Dave is currently a writer, producer, and director on The Mandalorian.
The Mandalorian TV show premiered when Disney+ streaming service launched on November 12. Jon Favreau is the show’s executive producer with Taika Waititi, Dave Filoni, and Bryce Dallas Howard serving as producers of the show among others. The show is rumored to feature the live-action debut of Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson), Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff), Sabine Wren, and Hera Syndulla.
Season 2 of Star Wars: The Mandalorian will arrive in October 2020 on Disney+.
