While we wait for Hasbro to announce the cast of Power Rangers Dino Fury – which will likely happen during Pulse Con 2020. New reports have revealed that we will have two black actors being the team leaders in the new series. According to The Illuminerdi, Russell Curry, Hunter Deno, Kai Moya, Alexandria Nuñez, and Chance Perez will compose the team with Jordon Fite joining the team as the Gold Ranger.
The site didn’t confirm the color of the other Rangers, however, there are rumors that Curry will be the Red Ranger. This means for the first time the show will have two black actors playing the lead in the franchise. It should also be noted that the show will have two females instead of one like Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger. Hasbro could gender swap a Ranger and go back with the two female Ranger like the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers who are also rumored to feature in Dino Fury.
This is some exciting news, but we will suggest you take it with a grain of salt until the official announcement.
The new Power Rangers show will be based on the Super Sentai series Kishiryu Sentai RyuSoulger, the 43rd Sentai team. The RyuSoulger aired from March 17, 2019, to March 1, 2020, succeeding Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger and following the four weeks special Super Sentai Strongest Battle. The show is the fourth Super Sentai series to use the dino theme, having been preceded by as well as the first to use the knights’ theme. Kishiryu Sentai RyuSoulger is considered to be the final Heisei era series although the series primarily aired in the Reiwa era.
