The Wrap reporting that Paramount Pictures has moved the GI Joe: Snake Eyes movie from March 27, 2020 to October 16, 2020.

Robert Schwentke (RED, R.I.P.D.) is directing with a screenplay by Evan Spiliotopoulos (Beauty and The Beast” ). The movie is a spin-off and 3rd “G.I. Joe” films based on the line of toys by Hasbro. The first film “G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra” starred Channing Tatum and Marlon Wayans, and was released in 2009, followed by “G.I. Joe: Retaliation,” in 2013. The film starred Dwayne Johnson, Tatum, and Bruce Willis. Snake-Eyes was portrayed by Scottish actor and martial artis Raymond Park in both movies.

The original 12-inch (30 cm) G.I. Joe line was introduced on February 2, 1964. The action figures is known as Action Man in United Kingdom. The original cartoon series “G.I. Joe: Real American Hero,” ran for a total of 95 episodes, from 1985 to 1986. The show canceled after the release of direct-to-video G.I. Joe: The Movie in 1987. The anime cartoon returned in 1989. In 2005 G.I Joe received a new line called G.I. Joe: Sigma 6. The new was adapted into an animated television series produced by GONZO.

G.I. Joe was inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame at The Strong in Rochester, New York, in 2003.
