Various projects will be launched to commemorate the release of ONE PIECE 100th volumes.

ONE PIECE manga has reportedly over 490 million copies in circulation worldwide. According to ANN, Eiichiro Oda’s manga series has surpassed 400 million in Japan and 90 million outside of Japan. However, these are not static sale numbers, but instead for copies in circulation that are not necessarily sold. In addition, to commemorate the release of the 100th volumes of ONE PIECE on September 3, various projects will be launched today from July 19.

One of the projects will be a voice-comic of Oda’s one-shot manga “Monsters”. This short drama will be directed by a ‘well-known movie director’ and ‘five different animation directors’ would also participate. ONE PIECE is also featured on the cover of Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #33/34 Cover.

Shueisha and Bandai Namco recently registered the ONE PIECE ODYSSEY trademark. However, the project has to be announced.
