Transformers and Nezha’s Chinese anime collaboration promo video released.


Chinese national broadcast CCTV and Hasbro began streaming the first official teaser trailer for their collaborative anime project “Nezha: Transformers“. The anime series trailer was first released on Sina Weibo, China’s Twitter-like social media platform. The series will get a wide release in China in 2020. CCTV also released a teaser visual from the upcoming series.

Nezha: Transformers are part of CCTV and Hasbro’s new franchise which will include an animated TV series and a line of toys. In addition, the anime will feature Samurai design from “Senki Kikai (Nenaku’s Great Adventure)” broadcasted on CCTV in 2003. Nezha is a little boy who fought evil dragons and killed himself as a statement to his parents, then later was brought back to life by his deity mentor and was reborn from a lotus flower with three heads and six arms, eventually becoming a deity himself.

Nezha became popular in 1979’s film “Nezha Conquers the Dragon King “. Nezha has appeared in numerous media projects, including television series and video games.
