The official Twitter account of the Naruto Shippūden anime confirmed on Wednesday that the anime 500th episode – the 720th episode in the Naruto anime franchise – will be the last episode of Naruto TV series.
The 500th untitled “Iwai no Kotoba,” and slated to aired on March 23, will focus on Iruka’s message to Naruto as Naruto’s wedding present. The episode is also the finale for the “Konoha Hiden” (Hidden Leaf Story) arc of the anime.
The first Naruto TV series aired back in October 2002 and ran to 2007. Later that same year, the current series Naruto Shippūden was launched.
Naruto the manga ended its 15 year run back in 2014.
Naruto is a manga series written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto. The series was serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine in 1999 till 2014.
Kodachi and Ikemoto launched BORUTO : NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS manga a sequel to Masashi Kishimoto’s manga Naruto in May 9, 2016. The TV anime series of the manga is will premiere on TV Tokyo on April 5. The anime series will feature an original story, and will tell the story of Boruto Uzumaki – the first child of Hinata and Naruto Uzumaki.
