Sony Pictures unveiled on Monday new international posters for Men in Black: International movie. The sequel directed by F. Gary Gray by will take place in the same universe as the original Men In Black films with Chris Hemsworth (Avengers: Endgame) and Tessa Thompson (Avengers: Endgame) starring as Agents H and M, respectively.
Men in Black: International currently tracking for a $40 million plus debut, which is lower than Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones’s Men in Black movie series debut of $50 million.
Men in Black: International is based on Malibu Comic by Lowell Cunningham. The first series first three issues was published in 1990 by Aircel Comics January to March 1990. Malibu Comics released a second series The Men in Black Book II In 1991 after it acquired Aircel Comics. Marvel Comics in return purchased Malibu Comics and published a number of one-shots in 1997, a prequel and sequel of the Comics.
The original Men In Black film was released in 1997. The film received two sequels: 2002’s Men in Black II and 2012’s Men in Black 3. Matt Holloway (Iron Man and Transformers: The Last Knight’s) and Art Marcum penned the scripts for the sequel. The film is produced by Walter F. Parkes and Laurie MacDonald. Steven Spielberg, E. Bennett Walsh, Riyoko Tanaka, David Beaubaire, Barry Sonnenfeld, Edward Cheng and Howard Chen all reserving as executive producers.
The film stars Chris Hemsworth as Agent H, Tessa Thompson as Agent M, Kumail Nanjiani as Pawny and Liam Neeson as the head of the UK branch of MIB. Additional cast includes, Rebecca Ferguson, Rafe Spall, Laurent and Larry Bourgeois.
Men In Black International is due for release on 14 June 2019.
