Morbius’ movie allegedly takes place after Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Little is known about the Morbius live-action movie at the moment. But thanks to the folks at DR Movie News, we might have some info about the movie. According to our pals, Morbius The Living Vampire takes place after the events of Spider-Man: Far From Home. Spider-Man will be referenced in the film via Wanted posters. Additionally, JK Simmons will also have a supporting role and will get to interview Dr. Michael Morbius on The Daily Bugle.

The first Morbius trailer is expected to be released in the coming weeks. We recently got our first look at Jared Leto as Morbius from what looks like an image from the rumored trailer.

Leto is set to star as Morbius in Sony’s upcoming Spider-Man spin-off about Michael Morbius the Living Vampire alongside Adria Arjona, Matt Smith, Jared Harris, and Tyrese Gibson. The film is directed by Daniel Espinosa with a script by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless. Morbius is part of Sony’s Spider-Man spinoff universe.

Created by writer Roy Thomas and artist Gil Kane, Dr. Michael Morbius Ph.D. gained vampiric abilities and physical traits after a biochemical experiment that was supposed to cure him of a rare blood disease went disastrous. The character made his first appearance as an antagonist in The Amazing Spider-Man #101 (Oct. 1971), but with time Morbius went on to become a hero in his own series and other titles.
