Metal Gear Solid : Skull Island's Writer To Pen The Live-action Film.

According to Variety , Jurassic World, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, and Kong: Skull Island‘s writer ,Derek Connolly, will pen the live-action film adaptation of Metal Gear Solid. The film. will be directed by Kong: Skull Island director , Jordan Vogt-Roberts.

There’s no plot details yet, but the original game center around special forces operative (Solid Snake or Big Boss) assigned to find the titular superweapon “Metal Gear”, a bipedal walking tank with the ability to launch nuclear weapons.

Hideo Kojima released the first Metal Gear in 1987 for the MSX home computer architecture. The 3rd game , Metal Gear Solid, was released for the PlayStation in 1998. Since it’s release Metal Gear Solid has inspired a number of sequels, prequels, spin-offs, ports and remakes.

Kojima’s last Metal Gear title with Konami, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain was released in September 2015. Konami announed Metal Gear Survive following the departure of the Kojima. The will released for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on February 20 in North America, February 21 in Japan, and February 22 in Europe.
