He-Man takes back his power in the first trailer for Netflix’s Masters of the Universe: Revelation. The trailer released by the streaming YouTube channel on Thursday features some incredible animated fight scenes, including an amazing He-Man transformation and the first look at Mark Hamill as Skeletor and Chris Wood as Prince Adam / He-Man showdown.
Executive Producer by Kevin Smith, Masters of the Universe: Revelation is a sequel to the 1980’s original Masters of the Universe cartoon. The series picks up where the 80’s series left off and brings the power of Grayskull back to the world. Powerhouse Animation ( Castlevania ) will animate the series. Smith previously revealed that the series could be “the final battle between He-Man and Skeletor.”
Created by Mattel, Masters of the Universe revolves around the conflict between the heroic He-Man, real name Prince Adam, and the evil Skeletor on the planet Eternia. The toy collection franchise was launched in 1982. The franchise has since spawned a variety of products, including six lines of action figures, four animated television series, several comic series, a daily newspaper comic strip, and the 1987’s live-action film adaptation starring Dolph Lundgren as He-Man.
Revelation stars Mark Hamill as Skeletor, Lena Headey as Evil-Lyn, Sarah Michelle Gellar as Teela, Alicia Silverstone as Queen Marlena, Kevin Conroy as Mer-Man, Liam Cunningham as Man-At-Arms, Griffin Newman as Orco, Stephen Root as Cringer, Diedrich Bader as King Randor and Trap Jaw, Tiffany Smith as Andra, Henry Rollins as Tri-Klops, Susan Eisenberg as Sorceress, Jason Mewes as Stinkor, Phil LaMarr as He-Ro, Tony Todd as Scare Glow, Cree Summer as Priestess, Kevin Michael Richardson as Beast Man, Harley Quinn Smith as Ileena, and original Skeletor voice actor Alan Oppenheimer as Moss Man.
