Marvel Studios’ president Kevin Feige has revealed that the second season of Marvel Cinematic Universe’ animated series “What If..?” is already in the works. Feige made the reveal while spoking to Buzzfeed Brazil at CCXP Brazil Comic-Con. Additionally, Feige also revealed that the series will have 10 episodes. That four episodes more than most of Marvel that will feature on Disney+.
“I’m very happy that we’re doing the What If…? series for Disney+ right now, and I’ve seen most of them. We have ten for Season 1, we’re already working on the next ten for Season 2,” said Feige. He added, “We’ve revealed one that is very exciting, we’ve talked about it for years, which is the one where Peggy Carter gets the Super Soldier serum and becomes Captain Carter. That’s the very first episode, and I’m excited for people to see that. I’m excited to see the finished version of that, and I’m excited for the world to see it.”
The animated anthology series created was created by A.C. Bradley for Disney+. Bryan Andrews is directing the show with Bradley serving as head writer. Jeffrey Wright will star as the narrator of the show, The Watcher. The MCU actors will voice their respective characters in the series.
What If…?‘s first season is expected to be released in mid-2021, and will consist of 10 episodes. A second season, which will also consist of 10 episodes, will be released at a later stage.
