The official Twitter account for Live Spectacle NARUTO:Song of the Akatsuki stage play shared on Sunday new character posters and new key visual for the live show. The live stage is directed by director Akiko Kodama (The Rose of Versailles, FAIRY TAIL, Black Butler , Galaxy Express 999 ). Shunsuke Wada is in charge of the music. Masashi Kishimoto is credited for the original story.
“Live Spectacle Naruto: Akatsuki no Shirabe/Song of the Akatsuki” will be performed at Mielparque Osaka Hall in Osaka (October 25-November 4), Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo (November 8-10), and Galaxy Theater in Tokyo (November 15-December 1). General sale of the tickets will starts on September 1 at 10:00 am.
Back in 2016 it was revealed during the Naruto X Boruto stage event at the Jump Festa that Michael Gracey (The Greatest Showman) will be directing a Hollywood live-action movie adaptation of Naruto for Lionsgate, with Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto involved with production.
Naruto the manga ended its 15 year run back in 2014. The series was serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine in 1999 till 2014. The TV anime show adaptation ended March 23, 2017 with Naruto Shippūden anime’s 500th episode – the 720th episode in the Naruto anime franchise. The first Naruto TV series aired back in October 2002 and ran to 2007. Later that same year, Naruto Shippūden was launched.
Ukyō Kodachi and Mikie Ikemoto manga series Boruto: Naruto Next Generations launched in Weekly Shonen Jump on May 9, as a sequel to Masashi Kishimoto’s manga Naruto. A new series spin-off novel titled Naruto: Kakashi Retsuden: Rokudaime Hokage to Ochikobore no Shōnen (Naruto: Kakashi Biography: The Sixth Hokage and the Leftover Boy) launched on June 4. The series is written by Jun Esaka with cover-art by Kishimoto himself.
Mirei Miyamoto and Masashi Kishimoto original light novel “Naruto Shinden” (Naruto: Naruto New Story) is also being adapated into a new TV anime series adaptation. The novel began publication with Konoha Shinden: Steam Ninja Scrolls in 2016, but was not formalised until it was relaunched from May to July 2018, to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Shueisha Jump jBooks. The novel was meant to be bridge between Naruto and Boruto: Naruto Next Generations series but shifted the focus to Naruto and his companions’ learning to become parents, and their relationships with their children.
