Triple Frontier’s director J.C. Chandor to helmet Kraven the Hunter movie for Sony.

Marvel Studio allegedly moving forward with the Kraven the Hunter solo movie. According to Deadline, the studio has unlisted Triple Frontier’s J.C. Chandor to direct the Kraven movie. There were rumors that Kraven will be the main villain in Sony’s Spider-Man 3, but looks like he will star in his own movie before facing the web-slinger. This shouldn’t come as a surprise since some Kraven Easter Eggs were spotted in the background of Morbius. Morbius is set to launch Sony’s new live-action Spiderverse. So it makes sense using that the company will want to develop movies based on Spider-Man’s anti-hero characters like Venom, Morbius, and Kraven.

In the comics, Kraven, real name Sergei Kravinoff, is a Soviet immigrant and the son of an aristocrat who fled to the United States with his family after the Russian nobility was decimated by the February Revolution.

Kraven was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko. The character made his first appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man #15 published in August 1964. Kraven ability includes Ultra Instinct, Enhanced physical attributes, Skilled tactician, tracker, and hand to hand combatant.
