The Promised Neverland: Kaiu Shirai and Demizu Posuka To Release New Project In WSJ.

Kaiu Shirai and Demizu Posuka new project will commemorate The Promised Neverland’s 5th Anniversary.

The Promised Neverland‘s Kaiu Shirai and Demizu Posuka will once again collaborate on a new project. WJS Manga is reporting on Twitter that the writer and illustrator will be publishing a new work titled ‘DC3’ in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #35. Detail about the project was not provided, but it will likely be a one-shot project instead of a serialization. Shirai and Posuka’s DC3 project will commemorate The Promised Neverland’s 5th Anniversary. Weekly Shonen Jump Issue featuring DC3 will be out on September 3rd.

Shirai and Demizu published The Promised Neverland (Yakusoku no Nebārando) in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump from August 2016 to June 2020. A 16-page The Promised Neverland one-shot manga by the pair was published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine 44th issue on October 5, 2020.

Amazon Studios is also developing an American live-action series. An anime series adaptation of the manga series produced by CloverWorks premiered on January 10, 2019. The series second season will debut in 2021.
