Naruto Live-Action Movie To Be Written By Jon & Erich Horner.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lionsgate has closed a deal with Jon and Erich Hoeber ( Red, Red 2, Battleship) to rewrite the script for the Hollywood live-action film adaptation of Naruto manga series.

The live-action film adaptation will be directed ny Michael Gracey (The Greatest Showman). The Naruto movie will be produced by Arad Productions (Hollywood’s Ghost in the Shell, Gamba: Gamba to Nakama-tachi).Erik Feig, Geoff Shaveitz and Kelly O’Malley will overseeing the project. Naruto writer and illustrator Masashi Kishimoto will also be involved with the film production.

Masashi Kishimoto debuted Naruto manga in Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine in 1999 before ending its 15 year run back in 2014. The first Naruto TV series aired back in October 2002 and ran to 2007. The second anime series Naruto Shippūden was launched later the same year.

Kodachi and Ikemoto launched BORUTO : NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS manga a sequel to Masashi Kishimoto’s manga Naruto in May 9, 2016. The TV anime series of the manga premiere on TV Tokyo on April 5. The anime series features an original story, and tells the story of Boruto Uzumaki – the first child of Hinata and Naruto Uzumaki.
