Miles Morales has been one most talk about character from the Spider-Verse since the release of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. With fans wanting to see the character getting live-action, actor Jharrel Jerome has revealed that he will love to portray Miles Morales in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe or Marvel Cinematic Universe if Marvel and Sony decide to make a live-action film adaptation.
A deleted scene from Spider-Man: Homecoming recently revealed that Miles is in the MCU/Sony’s Spider-man Universe. The scene shows Donald Glover’s Aaron Davis telling MIles he will be late after he finds himself handcuffed to his car door by Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. In the movie, Aaron Davis mentions to Spider-Man that he has a nephew while being questioned by Spidey.
Miles Morales gained superpowers similar to Spider-Man after being bitten by a spider genetically engineered by Spider-Man’s nemesis Norman Osborn in an attempt to duplicate those abilities. Miles is the second Spider-Man to appear in Ultimate Marvel. Morales first appeared in Ultimate Fallout #4 (August 2011), following the death of Peter Parker. The character was created by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Sara Pichelli. Miles was inspired by both former U.S. President Barack Obama and American actor Donald Glover.
So far there’s no report about the Character receiving a live-action movie adaptation. Sony revealed last year that Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse sequel will arrive in theatres on April 8th, 2022.
