Microsoft unveiled on Friday “Minecraft Earth”, an AR game where you can team up with other Minecraft Earth players to create your own structures in yout real-life neighbourhood. According to Microsoft, Minecraft like you’ve never experienced it before. Minecraft Earth will be free to play on iOS and Android in Summer 2019 for players 18 years old and above.
Collect! Minecraft Earth features many of the mobs you know and love, along with a bunch of new ones we can’t wait to show you. Over time, you’ll get the chance to discover unique variants, and use them to populate your builds. Minecraft pigs parading around your local park? That’s about to become your reality.

Microsoft bought Minecraft and Mojang intellectual property for US$2.5 billion in 2014. The game received spin-off episodic point-and-click graphic adventure titled Minecraft: Story Mode developed and published by Telltale Games, released between October 2015-2016.. In 2018 the game reported to have around 91 million active players monthly.
