Reports suggesting that the next installment in the Call of Duty series will be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. Activision Blizzard revealed during a recent earnings call that the game will be unveiled before the end of the current fiscal quarter of 2019, which means just in time for E3.
“We need to do even more to maintain the breadth of our Call of Duty player base beyond the launch quarters,” Activision CEO Coddy Johnson revealed. “The Call of Duty team is hard at work on that for this fall’s big content release, excitement for which is incredibly high around the organisation. We expect that both the launch and the post launch will bring game-changing experiences to our fans.”
Contrary to the most recent title, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, the title new title will include a single-player campaign but won’t feature Specialists or a battle royale mode.
The game received a comic book mini-series in 2009 titled “Modern Warfare 2: Ghost,” published by WildStorm Productions. in 2016 the game received a second comic book series published by Dark Horse Comic titled “Call of Duty: Zombies.”
