Fire Force anime website unveiled on Friday the official key visual for season 2′ New World Adventure Arc. The story will see the team crosses the sea and goes outside the Tokyo Empire to an unknown land Sparkles that leaves scars of “major disaster” that occurred 2 years ago.

David production is animating Fire Force season 2 and will have 12 episodes. Tatsumi Minakawa is replacing Yuki Yase as the series director. In addition, Yamato Haishima will write the series scripts, and Hideyuki Morioka will design the characters. Yumenosuke Tokuda, Hideyuki Morioka, and Yoshio Kosakai are the chief animation director. Neito Hirohara, Hiroyuki Ohkaji, and Tsutomu Matsuura are the main animators. Kazunori Miyazato and Yoshito Takamine are art directors. Shin’ya Takano replaces Daisuke Kusaka as a CGI director. Ohkubo serialized the manga series in the Weekly Shōnen Magazine since September 23, 2015, with the chapters collected into twenty-three tankōbon volumes as of May 2020. The creator revealed in an interview in July 2019, that the manga will probably end in Volume 30. Ōkubo announced in May that the manga is in its final stage, and he also stated that Fire Force would be his final manga .A stage-play adaptation of the series was announced on January 7, 2020. The play is scheduled to run on July 31 to August 2 at the Umeda Arts Theater in Osaka and on August 7 to August 9 at KT Zepp Yokohama in Kanagawa. The play is directed by Sho Kubota, the scriptwriter is Yusei Naruse, and the music composer is Masaki Miyoshi. The protagonist Shinra Kusakabe will be played by Hikaru Makishima.
