A Hi-Res image from Marvel’s ETERNALS promo art has given us a first look at the group of the new superheroes coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The high-resolution image is from a calendar of 2022 leaked. The leak gives a look at Sprite portrayed by Lia McHugh, Druig by Barry Keoghan, Sersi by Gemma Chan, Phastos by Brian Tyree Henry, Ikaris by Richard Madden, Kingo by Kumail Nanjiani, Gilgamesh by Don Lee, Ajak by Salma Hayek, and Makkari by Lauren Ridloff. Last year leaked action figures from the movie promotional products revealed a first look at Salma Hayek‘s as Ajak. However, the ETERNALS promo art visual didn’t include Kit Harington’s Black Knight and Angelina Jolie’s Thena.

Although the film is set to release this November, Marvel Studios has yet to unveil an official poster or footage from the movie. It’s also understanding how the movie’s promo art is being leaked. The film was first slated for release in November 2020, however, Disney moved most of their Phase Four slate due to the pandemic, shifting the Eternals’ release date to February 12, 2021. The company later announced that the film’s title was shortened from The Eternals to Eternals. In September the release date was pushed back to November 5, 2021.
The film is directed by Chloé Zhao and written by Kaz and Ryan Firpo. Eternals will include Marvel Studios’ first depiction of an LGBTQ superhero.
The Eternals will be set millions of years ago focusing on The Celestials and Deviants with a focus on Ikaris and Sersi. The Eternals and The Deviants are an offshoot of the evolutionary process that created sentient life on Earth instigated by the alien Celestials.
