The official Twitter for the live-action movie adaptation for Dora The Explorer unveiled on Thursday a new poster and the film title. The film will be called “Dora and the Lost City of Gold” hits theaters on August 2nd. The account also revealed that Don’t the trailer will debuts on the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards this Saturday.
Dora the Explorer was created by Chris Gifford, Valerie Walsh Valdes and Eric Weiner. The educational animated television series first aired in 2000.
“Dora the Explorer” features the adventures of Dora, a 7 (Later 8) year old, her monkey Boots, Backpack and other animated friends. In each episode, viewers join Dora on an adventure in an animated world set inside a computer. The titular character seeks viewers’ help in solving a puzzle or mystery she faces in each episode.
Dora the Explorer stars Isabela Moner, Eugenio Derbez (Overboard, Instructions Not Included, How to Be A Latin Lover) as.Alejandro, Micke Moreno (Escobar: Paradise Lost) as Diego,.Nicholas Coombe (Spy Kids: Mission Control, Midnight Sun) as Randy, Madeleine Madden (Picnic at Hanging Rock, Tidelands) as Sammy and Adriana Barraza (Babel, Amores Perros, Thor, The 33) as Dora’s grandma, Abuelita Valerie. Temuera Morrison (Green Lantern, Moana) will play the role of Powell.
