It seems like Disney considering Robert Downey JR’s advice on introducing Riri Williams’ IronHeart in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to new reports, Marvel Studios is reportedly developing a Disney+ series based on Ironheart, the teen who previously replaced Iron Man in Marvel comics.
The Cinema Spot says studios have yet to find a showrunner for the project but are currently accepting pitches. Marvel is allegedly expecting to start shooting sometime next year.
A member of the Champions, Riri Williams was created in 2015 by writers Brian Michael Bendis, and artist Mike Deodato. She was later redesigned by Eve Ewing and Kevin Libranda. She’s a young science prodigy who had fashioned her own version of Starks’s Iron Man armor using material stolen from campus. IronHeart was introduced in Invincible Iron Man #1 comic written by Brian Michael Bendis and artist Stefano Caselli.
