Demon Slayer will be getting a novel to commemorate the release of the anime 2nd season. Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine recently released issue has announced that Shuka Matsuda (The Seven Deadly Sins: Seven Scars They Left Behind) will write the novel, with original manga author Koyoharu Gotouge illustrating. The novel is titled Kimetesu no Yaiba Novelize: Yūkaku Sennyū Daisakusen-hen (Operation Infiltrate the Entertainment District Arc) and will cover volumes 8-11 like Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba season 2. The novel will ship on July 16.
Demon Slayer anime season 2 will be a continuation of the events after the film adaptation of Mugen Train Arc of the manga. The show’s first season cast and staff members are returning for the second season, with Ufotable as the animation studio. Demon Slayer season 2 will be titled Kimetsu no Yaiba: Yūkaku-hen (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc) just like the novel by Matsuda. It will begin broadcast in summer or spring 2021.
