Damon Slayer’s new anime film will get a novel adaptation. Shueisha has revealed that the novel of the Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train (Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Ressha-Hen) will ship on the day of the anime film released in Japan. The novel will be written by Aya Yajima.
It is the Taisho Period in Japan. Tanjiro, a kindhearted boy who sells charcoal for a living, finds his family slaughtered by a demon. To make matters worse, his younger sister Nezuko, the sole survivor, has been transformed into a demon herself.
Though devastated by this grim reality, Tanjiro resolves to become a “demon slayer” so that he can turn his sister back into a human, and kill the demon that massacred his family.
The anime first season aired from April 2019 to September 28 for 26 episodes. Hikaru Kondo has produced the series and Haruo Sotozaki (Tales of Zestiria the X,l) is directing. Akira Matsushima (Tales of Zestiria the X), Miyuki Sato, Yōko Kajiyama, and Mika Kikuchi serving as character designers. Yuki Kajiura (Sword Art Online, Fate/Zero) and Gō Shiina (Tales of Zestiria the X, Jūni Taisen: Zodiac War, God Eater) are composing the music.
Koyoharu Gotōge began serializing Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba In Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from February 15, 2016, till present. The manga series new mobile game titled Kimetsu no Yaiba: Keppū Kengeki Royale (Demon Slayer: Blood-Stench Blade Royale) is slated for release in this. A PlayStation 4 action game titled Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hinokami Keppūtan will be published in 2021.
Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train (Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Ressha-Hen) opens in Japan on October 16th. In the USA and Canada in 2021.
