Netflix announced on Tuesday that Cowboy Bebop anime series original songs composer, Yoko Kanno, will composer the music for Netflix’s Cowboy Bebop live-action series. Kanno formed the blues and jazz band Seatbelts in 1998 to perform the soundtrack music for the anime series. She also wrote music for Macross Plus, Turn A Gundam, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, and Wolf’s Rain.
In addition, the streaming service Twitter account also confirmed that the Cowboy Bebop live-action series will arrive this Fall. The series is created by André Nemec and Jeff Pinkner. Alex Garcia Lopez (Daredevil, The Punisher, The Witcher), and Michael Katleman (Primeval, The Last Ship) will direct the live-action adaptation.

The series Cowboy Bebop/Kaubōi Bibappu is set in the year 2071, and follow the lives of a bounty hunter named Spike Spiegel, an ex-cop called Jet Black, Faye Valentine, a young girl named Ed, and Ein – a Pembroke Welsh Corgi whose intelligence was greatly enhanced by a research facility – traveling on the Bebop (their spaceship).
