New Dragon Quest manga will debut 2 days before the anime series.

A new Dragon Quest manga series will launch two days before the brand-new anime series. The news was shared on Twitter by manga creator Yoshikazu Amami. The manga titled Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibōken: Cross Blade (Dragon Quest: Adventure of Dai Cross Blade) will debut in the November issue of Shueisha’s Saikyō Jump magazine. The issue will go on sale on October 1.

Another Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai (Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibōken) manga was announced to debut in the magazine’s November issue on September 19. Riku Sanjō is penning the original work, and Yūsaku Shibata is drawing the manga. The new series will center on the adventures of Avan before he meets Dai and his companions.

The Dragon Quest was developed for the Family Computer by Yuji Horii in 1986. In addition, the game has received multiple anime and manga series. A 3D CG anime film titled “Dragon Quest Your Story” was released in 2019.
