Shiori Teshirogi (Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas – Meiō Shinwa) has revealed that Batman and the Justice League manga series will end in Japan on July 19, with the fourth compiled book volume of manga series.
The manga launched in Champion RED magazine in June 2017. The manga follows the Justice League as they try to stop the Joker and an alliance of super-villain team in Gotham City. Teshirogi also serializing the “Justice League Origin: Wonder Woman” one-shot manga which launched in July 2017.
Batman and the Justice League story focuses on a young boy who comes to Gotham City from Japan. He’s trying to solve the mystery of what happened to his scientist parents after their disappearance following a factory explosion a year earlier. As it turns out, the factory was owned by Lex Luthor, who has now teamed with The Joker. Together, they plan on using the research of the boy’s parents to tap into a mystical, all-powerful, worldwide energy source. But for what purpose? It’s a bigger challenge than Batman can handle on his own, so he’s going to need some help from the League.
Teshirogi’s Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas – Meiō Shinwa manga ran from 2006 to 2011, the second manga Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas – Meiō Shinwa Gaiden ran from 2011 to April 2016. A 26 episodes OVA anime television series adaptation produced by TMS Entertainment launched in June 2009.
