Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will Feature Rocket Raccon Final Arc.

JR 1

James Gunn planning on completing Rocket Raccon’s are in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The director who is also set to helmet Warner Bros. and DC Comics’ relaunch of the Suicide Squad made the reveal in a recent interview to Deadline.

“When you asked me what was saddest for me when I thought it was gone—and anybody at Marvel can tell you—it’s this very strange and attached relationship to Rocket. Rocket is me, he really is, even if that sounds narcissistic. Groot is like my dog. I love Groot in a completely different way. I relate to Rocket and I feel compassion for Rocket, but I also feel like his story has not been completed. He has an arc that started in the first movie, continued into the second and goes through Infinity War and Endgame, and then I was set to really finish that arc in Guardians 3. That was a big loss to me—not being able to finish that story—though I was comforted by the fact that they were still planning to use my script.”

Early this year there were reportsthat production on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will start in February of 2021, to give Gunn enough time to finish production on THE SUICIDE SQUAD movie. Warner Bros. hired Gunn to director THE SUICIDE SQUAD movie after Disney fired the director last year July following the resurfacing of controversial jokes he made on Twitter were dugout. However, Disney’s rehired Gunn early this year to direct the third installment in the Guardians of the Galaxy series.

‪Created by writer Bill Mantlo and artist Keith Giffen, Rocket Raccoon made his first appearance in Marvel Preview #7 (Summer 1976). The fictional character ‬an expert marksman, weapon specialist and master tactician. Rocket is voiced by Bradley Cooper and motion capture provided by Sean Gunn in the Guardians of the Galaxy live-action movie.
