Ms. Marvel seems to be the new face of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Kamala Khan is set to appear as one of the main characters in Marvel’s Avengers video game. Now Marvel Studios is moving forward with Khan’s live-action television series adaptation.
According to reports, Marvel Studios has enlisted Bad Boys For Life directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah to helm at least one episode of Ms. Marvel for Disney+. It’s not sure if the pair will only director one episode of the series. In addition, Jasjit Williams and Saagar Shaikh are allegedly in talks with the studio to join the cast of Ms. Marvel.
The Direct is reporting that Williams may portray Khan’s potential love interest in the comic book series, Bruno Carrelli. Saagar Shaikh will apparently play Aamir Khan, Khan’s older brother.

The Ms. Marvel series will begin production in Atlanta, Georgia this November 2020 until March 2021. Which means the series on track for its scheduled to premiere in 2022. Disney and Marvel TV first announced the live-action television series adaptation based on Ms. Marvel back in August 2019. The show will premiere exclusively on Disney+ streaming service. Ms. Marvel‘s episodes will reportedly be in the one-hour format.
The series is expected to be the first in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s starring a new character, allowing Kamala Khan to join the other characters on the big screen at any point.” Bisha K. Ali (Four Weddings and a Funeral), will-helmet the show and act as showrunner.
Kamala Khan was created by editors Sana Amanat and Stephen Wacker, writer G. Willow Wilson, and artists Adrian Alphona and Jamie McKelvie. She made her first appearance in Captain Marvel #14 (August 2013). Ms. Marvel has Inhuman genes with shapeshifting abilities. Khan is Marvel’s first Muslim character to headline her own comic book.
